PLIDA

The PLIDA (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) is an official certificate issued by the Società Dante Alighieri under an agreement with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The PLIDA is recognised by the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policies and by the Italian Ministry of University and Research as a qualification that attests proficiency in Italian as a foreign language on a 6-level scale (from A1 to C2) according to the criteria established by the Common European Framework for Languages.

In addition, the PLIDA B1 level fulfils the requirement recently introduced by the Italian Government to foreigners applying for the Italian Citizenship.

Our Society offer group (Max 3 students) preparations and tutorials 1 to 1. For places availability please contact dante@newfuture.org

Please note that The University of Manchester as well as Lancaster University no longer offer the PLIDA Examination.

If you are interested in sitting exams to receive the PLIDA certificate, confirming your level of proficiency in Italian as a foreign language, you can contact the University of Exeter at https://humanities.exeter.ac.uk/flc/exams/plida/
